Playing in the leaves

Since we have no sizable trees in our neighborhood, we have to go to the park to play in the leaves.  Thankfully there's a beautiful park with huge trees not too far from our house, and it has the added advantage of having two bridges and an island to explore.  We spent a while gathering up the leaves with our hands (next time I'm going to bring a rake) and then the girls had fun running and jumping into the pile.

Nathaniel tried to eat the leaves, of course, so he didn't get to play in the big pile.  But he was happy to get out of the stroller and explore for a little bit, before he wanted to be picked up again.

We explored the little island, and the girls had fun throwing rocks into the lake and sliding down the hill.

There were at least three sets of photographers taking photos at the park, so I thought I'd try to get a cute photo of all three kids, even though they were wearing completely non-coordinating clothes.  It was kind of successful - I don't know how professional photographers get kids to stand still and smile naturally and not fight over who gets to stand closer to the baby.

Then we went back to the leaf pile and the girls decided it was time to throw leaves in the air.  You can't see their faces, but they were so full of joy!
