The Best Thing to Do When It's 104°
One of the things that Grandma and Grandpa said we could do at their house was to swim in their kiddie pool. The temperature was perfect for swimming! Although it was kind of hot for sitting around supervising, but Jeff set up a sunshade and a huge fan in the yard, and then it was okay.
Amelia had a good time showing Grandpa what she learned in swim lessons. Blowing bubbles:
And the starfish float:
In an attempt to get Grandpa wet, she tried some jumping and splashing:
But I think her favorite thing was running through the watering wand. I was so surprised that she liked this - she would even stand underneath the wand while we counted to five. I think Grandpa makes the water more fun.
Then we went inside and read a few books. Amelia's favorite books this trip included the Berenstain Bears and Little Galoshes, while Megan liked The Little Engine that Could.
And then they went back out to the pool to take baths! Amelia thought it was so funny to take a bath in the pool. Megan, not so much:

I see what you are talking about with our girls looking similar. That last picture of Amelia under the gardening wand looks just like a Natalie pose and face when getting water dumped on her. I probably have a very similar picture!
